Reaching Out to Vets Nationwide

Through the Veterans’ Corporation, the McCormick Foundation provided a grant to put 500 Veterans through the Vets Prevail training. On Veteran's Day, November 11, 2009, Prevail opened enrollment, launching a grassroots effort that received national news coverage. Prevail was scheduled to fill the 500 slots within four months. Those slots were filled in three weeks. This incredible response demonstrates both the urgent need for accessible, anonymous support for returning Vets, and that the Vets Prevail program meets this need in a way that resonates with the current generation of Vets.
